 My name is Steve Durkac and I am an
ordained minister credentialed in all 50 states
and worldwide (who happens to be
Baptist, but not the hell-fire and brimstone kind)
and has actually been involved in church
ministry since 1990 as a church pastor, an
evangelist, and most recently as a hospital
chaplain.
It
was while working as a hospital chaplain that I
began to receive requests to officiate weddings
for couples coming to the beaches of Gulf Shores,
Alabama.
My
phone began to ring so often, that I had to put up
a web site to help curtail the phone calls that
were interrupting my chaplain
visits!
Today
I am involved in providing workforce/executive
chaplain services and therapeutic humor &
wellness programs for business,
healthcare, and educational
organizations.
About My Weddings
My
ceremony is simple, not too long, not a
Baptist revival service nor a Roman
Catholic mass, but of course, I will
customize it if you want a little more or a little
less.
 I am a bit
laid-back, not pushy or high-strung, nor am I a
religious sap - you won't find me being all
spiritually gooyee on you as in changing my tone
to sound spiritually-soft while bubbling "bless
you my child" and "may the love of Heaven be
bestowed upon thee" or that kind of thing. Hey,
I love God, I love people, but I just want you to
get-on loving your new
spouse.
Also,
I come to your location of choice, rather than
asking you to come to my spot on the beach, I'll
come to where it is convienant for you. Out back
of your condo, hotel, beach house, or at any of
the public access
areas.
I
do not charge extra for sand cermonies, changing
the ceremony around, adding prayers, communion,
having a family member add a reading, or
whatever you wish, in order to make your
ceremony yours.

My
own personal opinion is that, even if you're
not a religious person, getting married by
an ordained Christian minister adds a sense
of spiritualness to your marriage foundation, that
you will always be able to look back
on.
 I
do not require pre-maritial counseling. I do not
require any specific church or faith affiliation,
nor do I care if you have been married 6 times
before, been living together for 32 years, or are
soon to be the next octo-mom. I have no objections
to officiating for couples
of mixed-denominations, mixed-race, or
mixed-up minds. If
you can get an Alabama marriage license, I can
officiate.

Beach, Perdido Keys, Fort Morgan, Dauphin Island,

want to book me to perform your ceremony, I will
ask you to fill-out the Confirm Wedding
Form , which is how I mange my
schedule.

two other ministers who may be.
