Traditional Vows Ceremony

What do I mean by Traditional Vows Ceremony ?

I mean a fairly solemn ceremony, probably what you are use to seeing at a church, but without the choir and high litergical kind of atmospher.

The ceremony itself would flow like the sampleCeremony Overview. You can add a thing or two of course, like a sand ceremony, stone throwing ceremony, unity candle, special music, extra prayer, family blessing, but a  Traditional Vows Ceremony is pretty much like theCeremony Overview.

With the Traditional Vows, unless you want to make any specific changes, I read one Bible verse, have an opening prayer, and I will briefly begin by refering to Adam and Eve and how God desired them to be one, as help mates.

With the  Traditional Vows, unless you want to write your own vows, I will use these words:

“Do you __________, take __________,

to be your lawfully wedded (wife/husband),

to have and to hold from this day forward,

for better or for worse,

for richer, for poorer,

in health, in sickness,

to love and to cherish;

to be faithfully yours,

until death do you part?”
